As a substitute

Please tell me!
The current dollar to yen is around 158 yen
TLT is 94.59
Buy it in dollars now and interest rate cuts have been announced, and the yen has appreciated to around 120 yen
I don't know how far TLT will rise, but can we get capital?
I'm worried about exchange losses 💦

  • pollinosis : Interest rates of 0.25% are expected to be cut about once at the end of this year, but if that is the case, I think they will keep it in the 150 yen range.

  • 投資家 t9m : If I were to let go at a high price, would I settle in dollars, move to American stocks, S&P, or Orkan, and leave it alone until the dollar appreciates? Maybe it's okay to keep it as it is with a dollar savings account?

If you want to prevent exchange differences, I think it's a good idea to buy 10 or 20 percent of TMF from the TLT purchase price assuming 120 yen to 130 yen 😊

In both cases, I think capital gains can be made if bond prices rise! I think the recommendation is compatible with the above 🤔
Originally, TLT is for income gain purposes by accumulating funds, so if you aim for capital gains, there is a slight risk, so please think carefully 😅
