AU Evening Wrap: ASX Rises 0.5%; Ramsay, Costa Shares Sink Over 10%

The benchmark $S&P/ASX 200 (.XJO.AU)$ rose 0.5 per cent, or 33.7 points, to 7182.1 at the closing bell.

WiseTech rallied 8.1 per cent, paring back some of Wednesday's 19.6 per cent loss. $Xero Ltd (XRO.AU)$ jumped 3.5 per cent and $Nextdc Ltd (NXT.AU)$ added 1.8 per cent.

Amidst a busy company earnings day, horticultural company $Costa Group Holdings Ltd (CGC.AU)$ was one of the worst performers, tumbling 10.8 per cent after it said it was "uncertain" if the $1.62 billion transaction plunged 12 per cent after it halved its full-year dividend.

$Ramsay Health Care Ltd (RHC.AU)$ plunged 12 per cent after it halved its full-year dividend.

$Telix Pharmaceuticals Ltd (TLX.AU)$ rose 3.6 per cent. In its latest half-year report, the company said its net loss narrowed by 80 per cent to $14.3 million.

$Qantas Airways Ltd (QAN.AU)$ edged up 0.8 per cent after it delivered a record profit. The airline group also announced a $500 million share buyback plan.

$TPG Telecom Ltd (TPG.AU)$ shares climbed 2.2 per cent following reports that it planned to get rid of brands and products to cut costs, after its interim profits slid 71 per cent to $48 million.
