$S&P/ASX 200 (.XJO.AU)$ ended 0.5% higher at 7506.0, driven by strength in technology and financial stocks.

All sectors, barring utilities, finished in the green, with financials rising 1.1% and the tech sector adding 1.2%.

Miner $South32 Ltd (S32.AU)$ was the best-performing stock, rising 5.0%, while $Iluka Resources Ltd (ILU.AU)$ climbed 4.6% and lithium miner $Core Lithium Ltd (CXO.AU)$ added 2.6%.
