AU Morning Wrap | ASX 200 rises; Symal IPO at noon

Tuesday, markets fell, but Bitcoin climbed to a new all-time high at $94k shortly after 2 pm ET. After the 4:01 p.m. ET close, the $Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC.US)$ closed up 1.03%. The $Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI.US)$ was off 0.03% and $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ rose 0.49%.

$NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ shares declined 1.71% in afterhours' trading as investors digested the latest quarterly earnings report from the artificial intelligence leader, which met most forecasts but did not meet the market's highest expectation for the company.

Following a late rebound on Wall Street and ahead of the keenly anticipated quarterly earnings release from Nvidia, Australian equities are on the rise. $Web Travel Group Ltd (WEB.AU)$, which was separated from Webjet in the current year, has been instructed by its auditing firm to revise its earlier financial statements. Shares of WEB declined 3.11% today.

$Sayona Mining Ltd (SYA.AU)$ shares plummeted 10.53% to A$0.034 on Thursday. The company is preparing for a merger with $Piedmont Lithium Inc (PLL.AU)$, another lithium player.

$Accent Group Ltd (AX1.AU)$ shares plummeted 15.02% after the company cautioned that its profit margins are being squeezed as retailers heavily discount their goods to attract customers back to stores.

$Technology One Ltd (TNE.AU)$ shares rose 0.78%. The announcement shows that the Chairman of Technology One, Patrick O'Sullivan, acquired 8,361 additional shares in the company. As a result of this acquisition, his aggregate shareholding has risen to 48,140 shares, indicative of his escalating confidence in the company's future performance.

$Symal Group Ltd (SYL.AU)$ will begin trading on the ASX on Thursday with a $437m market capitalisation. It is an Australian construction company engaged in civil infrastructure, contracting, and equipment hire. Notably, recent industrial IPOs like AAL and TEA have shown strong performance post-debut, making SYL's market performance a point of interest.
