Alibaba (09988) founder Ma Wan in an internal memo urging employees to learn more and calling on the company he co-founded decades ago to radically change the company he co-founded decades ago, Bloomberg reported.
Responding to an employee's post on Ali's internal forum on Wednesday (29th), Mawun praised the decisions, execution and efforts of many over the past few years, but was confident Ali would change and “correct its course”. “Every great company is born in winter,” says Ma Wan, “The coming of the AI era is an opportunity and a challenge for everyone.”

Since 2020, Mayun has essentially not been involved in the day-to-day operations of the company; Alibaba representatives did not immediately respond to calls and messages seeking comment.
