Back to Office: How’s It Changing Our Work Lives?

Hey mooers!

Lately, I’ve been diving deep into REITs info and getting lots of insights from mooers. Thanks a looooooot! With the trend of Return To Office (RTO), there’s a lot happening that could impact our working style and REITs big time.

Over the past few years, I’ve seen news here and there about big companies globally dropping the WFH policy and encouraging RTO. But even though it’s already 2024, I suppose quite a few people in Singapore are still in WFH or hybrid modes, right? Like, I’m one of those doing hybrid now.

Personally, I’m a big fan of the hybrid style. For my work, sometimes I need to communicate closely with clients or colleagues, and face-to-face is just better lah. You can gauge clients' reactions better and also social with colleagues. Let’s be honest, socializing with colleagues can make work smoother haha.

But other times, when I’ve got lots of paperwork to handle, I prefer being at home. No commuting hassle, and I can avoid the noisy office environment, making me more efficient.

On a personal note, while I find WFH boosts my work efficiency, RTO meets my social needs, which is also a way to maintain mental health, right? Just on October 10th, the World Mental Health Day came with the theme of "Mental Health at Work", reminding us to pay attention to our mental well-being leh.
