$Baidu (BIDU.US)$ continuing previous thread looks like Morgan Stanley is leading the crusade. Issuing lower and lower recommendations every month, making undermining statements opposite to general perception and falling out of line with all other analysts opinions/valuations.
It seems as a simple strategy. Issue some bad headlines, short a bit on a low liquid market and have algos sell off a bunch more automatically, maybe starting small panic.
Again, a going concern, profitable business cannot be realistically valued at cash.
In a AI transformation era, it would suggest it's making not strategic investments that would only lead to cash depletion and unprofitability in a long term.
The reality is the opposite.
Valuation is incorrect and cannot persist imo. Hope narrative, can change on next earnings report, as whatever good news is perceived as negative at the moment. Need hard facts.
