Baker Hughes: The number of US oil rigs increased by 5 to 482
According to rig count data released by Baker Hughes on Friday, the number of US oil rigs for the week ending 7/26 increased by 5 units on a weekly basis to 482. Compared to the same period last year, the number of oil rigs decreased by 47.
The number of gas rigs in the US decreased by 2 units to 101, a decrease of 27 compared to last year. The total number of rigs in the country is currently 589, an increase of 3 from last week, but a decrease of 75 compared to the previous year.
The total number of Canadian rigs is 211, an increase of 14 from last week, and an increase of 18 compared to 12 months ago. The number of oil rigs increased by 14 to 144, and the number of gas rigs increased by 1 to 67. At the annual level, Canada added 23 oil rigs, while the number of gas rigs decreased by 5.
