Berkshire Hathaway Reduces Stake in BYD to 6.9%

Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway has sold an additional 1.3 million Hong Kong-listed shares of BYD for $39.8 million, reducing its stake in the Chinese EV maker from 7% to 6.9%.

Berkshire first invested in BYD in 2008, and had already halved its holding through sales in 2022 and 2023. Further filings are required if Berkshire’s stake falls below 6%.
