In response to Joe Biden, the President of the United States, stating that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not making enough effort in the ceasefire negotiations, Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri said that this statement acknowledges that Israeli leaders are undermining efforts.

Abu Zuhri stated that the proposal for a permanent ceasefire and a complete withdrawal from Gaza by Israel would be positively received.

When asked if he thought Prime Minister Netanyahu was making enough effort to secure a prisoner release agreement, Biden answered, 'No.' He did not provide further details.
