Big Tech Earnings Month, My Report Card
This is a month of earnings! Many of the big tech earnings reports are actually affecting my overall portfolio heavily. $Meta Platforms (META.US)$ $Amazon (AMZN.US)$ $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ $Apple (AAPL.US)$ $Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.US)$ $Microsoft (MSFT.US)$
Horrible start for the first few days of Aug with big losses in the order over $15k to about $25k! It was heart broken to see with an accumulated loss of over $65k!
This last week of the month is all about $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ . I have quite a large position in it and the high expectations that caused it to go down did quite a damage to my overall gain - down in the order of $23k. But that quickly recover the next day although it is not a full recovery.
Now we are at the last day of the month, having an overall monthly gain of about $10k. However, I will end the month red if the market tonight is not doing well.
I only do a handful of trades in this month, increasing my position in $Arm Holdings (ARM.US)$ and $Alphabet-A (GOOGL.US)$ , sold one of my longest position in $Tapestry (TPR.US)$ which has been very disappointing in term of gain although I didn't lose money on it. Also cutting losses in $Intel (INTC.US)$ which is doing so bad on its outlook.
Looking back, I would like to do more calls especially for my position in $GraniteShares 2x Long NVDA Daily ETF (NVDL.US)$ , to cover the cost of the daily reset on leveraged ETF. It is not recommended to hold leveraged ETF long term, but I will still hold and experiment to see how it turns out to be.

WolfRun OP 105251507 : Do you find it risky? I did not think about that. If overall is down by 50%, I can still take it. My cost is much lower but that could be risky if it doesn't recover.

WolfRun OP C Bernard : Thanks bro. If you know what I went through before, you will know why I never complain or get frustrated - I lossed more than 50% of my portfolio before during the bad time. So I stopped looking at the stock market but I know faithfully that the market will recover eventually. Now I have managed to wait it out and recovered that 50% and more, so there is no reason for me to get emotional. Cheers!
