$Bitcoin(BTC.CC$ so I was going to go to sleep and then this thought hit my mind many argue Bitcoin is a digital form of gold and then my mind drifted to the fact that gold's been used going back to Egypt right biblical times when you see all of the statues of antiquity that were made of gold. but here's my question where the hell did the gold come from like Egypt documents everything in hieroglyphic writing but they never show them mining for gold I mean you're in sand there's no quartz veins the Nile River is not yielding gold it's not like rivers in Alaska so where the hell they get the gold from anyone ever wonder this or is it just me being stupid at 12:52 in the morning . I mean it's not like they traded for gold like they did you know rum slaves triangle trade thing and weren't ships back then so where the hell did it come from

MomentumPython1337 : The source of this gold was Nubia, or Kush, a sub-Saharan empire located on the Nile south of Egypt. Pharaohs sent expeditions to Nubia to mine the quartz lodes for gold, which Egyptian goldsmiths transformed into vessels, furniture, funerary equipment and sophisticated jewelry.

10baggerbamm OP MomentumPython1337 : so are they still mining for gold in the Nile River then to this day? and is this what Google said for an answer or is there documented proof that this is where it originated from because I watched countless shows on Egypt and they never show them mining or panning for gold or refining gold in any of their scripture in hieroglyphics

Salmon Klein 10baggerbamm OP : hehehe, this is a good question indeed. the Egyptian empire extended largely into subsharians areas, what today will be Ethiopia, Sudan, etc. so many resources came from there. you could also ask where the stones came from the pyramids, right? gold is not only found in rivers like in USA iconical movement 200 years ago but also in the ground, where traditional mines are required. BTW, you can't enter into the Nile waters as is full of huge cocodriles!!
