British Sturmer Party leader promises “national revitalization” with Labor Party landslide victory

The Labour Party leader says Britain has a chance to “take back its future” after 14 years of Conservative rule.

Britain's next prime minister, Kiel Sturmer, promised to begin an era of “national regeneration” after the Labor Party put an end to 14 years of Conservative Party rule.

In his victory speech at dawn on Friday, Mr Sturmer (61) said the British people had brought Britain an opportunity to “take back its future” and take back a “country for workers.”

“Our challenge is none other than renewing the idea that unites this country. National renewal. No matter who you are or where you start your life, if you work hard and stick to the rules, this country should give you a fair chance,” Starmer told supporters.

“This country should always respect your contributions and we must take them back”.

Sturmer, a former prosecutor and human rights lawyer, said he would make an effort to show that politics can be a “force for good.”

“Without a doubt, that is the great test of politics in this era. The battle for trust is a battle that defines our time. That's why we've been working hard to campaign to show that we're the right people for public service,” he said.

“Service is a prerequisite for hope. Respect is the bond that unites a nation. Together, these changed values of the Labor Party are guidelines for the new administration. Put the country first, and the party second”.

The Labor Party broke through its 326-seat majority early Friday morning and advanced towards a landslide victory against the Conservatives led by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

According to exit polls, the same party won 410 seats and was expected to win a majority of 170 seats in the House of Representatives.

The Conservatives are expected to win 131 seats, which is the worst result in the history of the Conservative Party.
