Not sure if you haven't misunderstood anything, I'll extend it one more time: this 30% is a US government tax. As long as any US stock pays dividends, foreign shareholders will be drawn 30%. But I'm not sure if all countries are the same

Because the last time Apple paid dividends, I sold the stock, and as a result, it charged me dividend tax. I thought the dividend tax would only be charged if the stock was sold. Now I know that if I sell stocks or not, I will be charged dividend tax, so the next time dividends are paid, I can sell stocks
