$Broadcom(AVGO.US)$ it's nice to see it looks like broadcom has put in its base honestly I thought it was going to trend lower post split but it appears that despite the broader Market weakness that there's accumulation taking place. it's as if we can finally rebuild after the hurricane has come through. that's what this past week reminds me of with the leading tech stocks.

  • MomentumPython1337 : agree I'm not a whale but I've been slowly accumulating avgo as well bit by bit over the weeks

  • 10baggerbamm OP MomentumPython1337 : I've taken some serious licks in the past week and a few days I mean it's been brutal to say the least on my end with the enormous profits getting smacked not principal but profits that were not realized. meditation so I've got to be very very careful in my battles that I choose to pick. marketplace but I think that the leaders are going to begin to show their strength maybe today maybe the beginning of next week again. I want to circling Taiwan I've written about and I understand the whole reason for sector rotation I get it and I I was trading TNA last year June a year ago and anticipation of rate cuts and utsl and I get it but what we just saw with TNA going vertical and now you see that basket going from 50 to 44

  • 10baggerbamm OP 10baggerbamm OP : there's a lot of people that are trapped and a lot of the people that believed in the sector rotation you see him on TV they sold off these tech stocks and they're betting heavily on the sector rotation to continue if it doesn't their clients are going to fire them and they'll go elsewhere because they're saying that broadcom Nvidia Microsoft Apple Tesla the whole basket are done do you think and money's going to flow for the next year into these small caps. and maybe it will Tom Lee believes between out of the end of the year there's a 30% upside I mean that's very possible. the problem is just like what we saw with the utility companies that were going to provide the potential for the electricity demands for the data centers all these stocks got bit up they have not done anything from an infrastructure standpoint they didn't even have any approvals yet to build nuclear facilities but the stocks got bit up and I think that's what's happening with many of these small caps money flowed in and anticipation.

  • MomentumPython1337 10baggerbamm OP : yea last few days have been brutal my profits got wiped out as well in a matter of 2 days that being said I'm happy i didn't get greedy and took profits along the way I'm happy to have trimmed most of the megacaps slowly and sitting on a massive pile of cash because nothing really looks super attractive to me at the moment, at least until after earnings season then I can properly reevaluate which companies still have the best prospects.

and also the whole august/september/october sell-off seasonality  coinciding with initial rate cuts I'm not sure I really want to hold something Im not convicted in through that period

  • 10baggerbamm OP 10baggerbamm OP : but a half point rate cut does nothing you're going to need to see 300 basis points you're going to need to see an increase in earnings and we're talking about multiple quarters before that translates to the bottom line I don't think the market's going to be patient to see that to fruition I think they're going to go back to the large caps. point is the market's going to bid up the small caps to an extreme if you look at the ETF nail, that's gone from 80 to 150 I sold my options with a 10x return in 10 days. the worst and ultimately but the home builders now have gone parabolic everything has moved so quick and we haven't even had a rate cut and if there's not a rate cut in September you're going to see a rug pull on everyone of these small caps on every one of these interest rate sensitive stocks. so these reasons I'm staying with a large caps I'm staying with the cash Rich companies I'm staying with the key AI plays and I've yesterday the day before I've been trying to sell puts out of the money for some of the key companies with Amazon meta it's very difficult getting filled which to me is a bullish sign and I'm not 20 points out of the market on two points out of the market so I'm real close to the strike so for me that indicates that the bottoms are being put in right in here because no one's willing to buy the puts that I'm selling.

  • 10baggerbamm OP : question for you Schwab for example when I look at my charts on their site with my account I can set them where he split for example and video or broadcom don't show so I see a continuous line bar chart candlestick whatever as if the split never happened with moo moo I don't see that unless I'm missing something do you know if there's a way to eliminate a split or is that feature not available

  • MomentumPython1337 : thanks for your insights yeah i regret not buying NAIL when you said it i actually have your posts on notification so moomoo should tell me but i only found out days after you did and it's too late already by then lol

i did get some decent gains out of IWM and a bit of TNA  I'm waiting to see what happens I think IWM deserves a bit of a pullback right now maybe to 213 because that's the fib support level

  • MomentumPython1337 10baggerbamm OP : I'm not sure because it looks like moomoo already did it for me i didn't have to do any special it's weird
maybe you could try contacting moomoo support because they're very responsive

  • MomentumPython1337 : i face this exact same issue on IBKR but frankly IBKR is already such a terrible app I can't be bothered to fix it there
