Broken Record Market Sees S&P, Nasdaq Hit Highs, Apple AI Delayed Reaction | Wall Street Today

By the numbers, the $S&P 500 Index(.SPX.US)$ climbed about 0.27%, the $Dow Jones Industrial Average(.DJI.US)$ fell 0.31%, and the $Nasdaq Composite Index(.IXIC.US)$ climbed 0.88%.

$Apple(AAPL.US)$ was the highest gainer on the S&P 500 and Dow up about 6% after investors sold the news Monday when the firm announced Apple Intelligence- upgrades to Siri that use GTP 4 to help answer questions and generate text, and images. The stock is at a new record high over $207/share.

$GameStop (GME.US)$ shares flew 19% Tuesday afternoon, after a two-session pullback surrounding the firm's early earnings release and Kieth's "Roaring Kitty" Gills livestream Friday. Following is 12% intraday climb, options on the stock blew up to the top seven positions in the entire U.S. market ranked by options trading volume.

$Paramount Global-B(PARA.US)$ was the lowest decliner on the S&P 500, down about 10% after a late-day WSJ story dropped  more than 10% that found the possible merger between Shari Redstone and Skydance ownership had failed.

$Oracle(ORCL.US)$ annnounced Q4 adjusted EPS $1.63 vs. est $1.65 on revenue of $14.3B vs estimates of 14.5B. The firm also announced two partnerships: Oracle and Google Cloud Announced a Groundbreaking Multicloud Partnership, alongside a partnership with Microsoft and OpenAI. Shares climbed about 5% after the market closed.
