Buy a stock or buy a company?

Be patient: Wait for the right time to buy.

Be confident: Have faith in your investment decisions.
Look for competitive advantages: Invest in companies with an edge over their competitors.
Consider the long term: Think about how the investment will perform over time.

Do you have the patience to wait for the company to grow? Or are you trying to day trade? For day trade, should have sold off long ago, for an investor who sees the potential of AMD, endure the drop if you don't need your money urgently and wait for price to pass your traded average.

WB also said his favourite holding period is forever. Only sell if you need the money to put into a company with a far better potential.
