"Buy Like a Student, Sell Like a Master"
In trading, knowing how to buy is just the beginning. It's like being a student learning the basics. But knowing how to sell—that’s what separates the masters from the rest.
Here’s when I consider selling or reducing my position, especially during an uptrend when my P/L is positive:
1️⃣ RSI Alert: When the price hits above RSI 70 on the daily chart, it's often a signal of overbought conditions.
2️⃣ Volume vs. Price Movement: Sudden high volume during an uptrend, but the stock price doesn’t move up, raises a red flag.
3️⃣ Technical Breakdowns: A drop below a certain moving average or trendline indicates potential weakness in the trend.
4️⃣ Heavy Outflow from Large Transactions: If large transactions show heavy outflows, it signals that big players may be exiting the stock.
5️⃣ Large Inflow from Retail or Small Transactions: A surge in small transactions or retail inflows while the stock is trending up could indicate a potential reversal, as smart money often moves differently.
🔻 And of course, if the stock drops below my stop loss or the price action doesn’t align with my expectations, I’ll sell and cut losses without hesitation.
