BYD achieves record quarterly sales in Australia

The war for number 1 electric vehicle continues, and BYD has had a record quarter in Australia for sales, with their market share in the Aus EV market moving up to 16%.

Citi analysts, reported by Market Talk, said that this achievement in sales was helped by BYD's A$2,023 cash back incentive for its Atto 3 electric SUV model.

For the first quarter of the year, the company sold 4,500 cars in Australia, with March contributing 1,600 to that number.
