BYD launches Sealion 07 EV in Europe, showcases multiple models at Paris auto show
BYD has launched the Sealion 07 EV in Europe, as it showcases its models to European audiences at the ongoing Paris auto show.
The Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker is showcasing a number of models at the Paris auto show, which began on Oct 14, and launched the Sealion 07 EV, which has been renamed the Sealion 7 in Europe.
BYD made its European debut at the Paris auto show in 2022 with three vehicle models, and just two years later the company has eight models available in Europe, according to Michael Shu, BYD's European managing director Michael Shu.
The Sealion 7 adds a new all-electric mobility option for European consumers and represents BYD's commitment to the European market, Shu said, according to the announcement.
The first vehicles are expected to be delivered to European customers by the end of this year, according to BYD.
The Sealion 07 SUV is the first model of BYD's e-Platform 3.0 Evo -- an upgraded version of the e-Platform 3.0, and went on sale in China on May 10.

In the past two years, BYD has entered more than 20 countries and regions in Europe, launching a wide range of models covering hatchbacks, sedans and SUVs, it said.
