BYD quarterly BEVs sales are set to overtake that of Tesla in 2024
BYD sold a record 274,386 NEVs (including 25,023 overseas) in August 2023, up 56.87% yoy. This is the 7th sequential monthly increase. In the January-August period, BYD sold 1,792,184 NEVs, up 83.10% yoy.
In Aug, BYD sold 145,627 BEVs, up 76.14 % yoy. It sold 134,783 BEVs in July, up 66.4% yoy. Assuming Sep BEVs sales are 146,000, Q3 BEVs sales will be 426,410. BYD quarterly BEVs sales are set to overtake that of Tesla in 2024.
In August, BYD sold 25,023 NEVs in overseas markets, up 37.72% from July.
