BYD's Q2 EV Sales Hit New High, Expected to Surpass Tesla to Regain Global Top Spot

June NEV delivery rankings: $NIO-SW (09866.HK)$ and $ZEEKR (ZK.US)$ hit new highs, $XIAOMI-W (01810.HK)$Xiaomi Auto breaks 10,000 units, and Aito's monthly deliveries exceed 40,000.

$LI AUTO-W (02015.HK)$ 's monthly deliveries surpassed 40,000, reclaiming the top spot among new forces. Seres' monthly deliveries surged 372% year-on-year, while NIO and Zeekr both hit new monthly highs, exceeding 20,000 units each. Xiaomi, a newcomer, broke the 10,000 unit mark in monthly deliveries and is expected to continue this trend in July.

Media reports show $BYD COMPANY (01211.HK)$ sold nearly 1 million pure electric and hybrid vehicles in Q2, setting a new record. In contrast, $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ 's EV sales were 441,000 units, down 5.4% year-on-year, marking the second consecutive quarterly decline. Analysts attribute Tesla's delivery decline to a cooling EV market and outdated models.

However, driven by strong delivery numbers from Chinese EV peers like NIO and Li Auto, Tesla's stock price surged over 7% on Monday.
