10baggerbamm : book value is the most overused term so that you understand when you have to go and talk about this is the value if they were to sell everything the stock screwed the company's missed earnings missed revenue it's a ski slope it just keeps going straight down and if it gets to the point where they have to liquidate I assure you their assets are grossly overstated number one number two when things are sold in an auction you're going to get about 10 cents on the dollar so book value divide what you think is booked by 10:00 because that's probably the true tangible value and then if it gets to be a liquidation that means they're liabilities exceed their assets in which case it's negative equity so you got yourself a falling knife and you got no fingers left cuz you cut them all off trying to catch this shit
10xStockPicks OP 10baggerbamm : I look at balance sheets all day long. I research public traded companies & I review all filings. Canopy assets are actually undervalued in the market space because goods valuation & pricing has now started to increase in the sector.
10baggerbamm 10xStockPicks OP : the value that's assigned on companies balance sheets they're not third-party assessed values they buy a good they have a depreciation schedule to it which are well aware of and you're basing the value of that particular item off of what's left of its usable life and that's where you're wrong I've been to the coldest free and there's no obligation over 50 former publicly traded companies auction sales and what they sell for at an auction are pennies on the dollar.
but just keep thinking that that's the value of the company or their material assets because I've got a company that trades at a 54% discount to the cash money in their bank account not factoring in any equipment any real estate any inventory cash Dead Presidents in the bank and you know what nobody fucking cares cuz the stock should be rallying right now it should be going up every day and it's not.
