JoshCarter4 : They have very different use cases so it’s not really an apple-to-apple comparison. Kinda like comparing Apple with Google just because both are “tech stocks.”

At the extreme ends, assuming near 100% adoption, XRP would replace SWIFT while ADA would be the bedrock/foundation for all things blockchain-related.

Imo between the two, assuming both are adopted widely, ADA will provide significantly more return than XRP, but it’s for two completely different underlying theses and have very different potential fail cases.

Shootingstar JoshCarter4 : yes you are right but they still both fall under the legacy asset class of crypto.

JoshCarter4 Shootingstar : Ascribing potential value based on their definition as a “cryptocurrency” makes it a speculative/gambling play, instead of a reasoned investment.

But fair point. On that basis, XRP probably holds more of an edge to ADA because it’s much more popular.

Shootingstar JoshCarter4 : xrp has more contracts then ada atm unfortunately. but anything can change at any point. xrp is also helping ada out after their past competition/arguements had been put aside. perhaps by merging midnight protocols of ada with xrp ledger for heightened security.
