  • 10baggerbamm : so what are you thinking a spike 21-22 on earnings next q? it's all the way out into the end of the first week beginning of the second week of February

  • smoothshoe OP 10baggerbamm : I definitely think so. as long as there aren't any additional costs or delays ramping up production and assuming good news on pre-sales of (PEALD)

  • smoothshoe OP 10baggerbamm : also, RSI is 21.58, and they double beat last quarter

  • 10baggerbamm smoothshoe OP : yeah I looked at the financials what concerns me is I don't know what the hell they're doing from a technological standpoint I don't get it and I kind of look back at what Warren Buffett said and Peter Lynch you need to be able to explain it in one sentence so the average person can understand it. my question looking at the chart is why did they fall from grace what did they do wrong several years ago that resulted in that massive decline in stock price and why have they turned the corner that would be the question I would ask. and I know there's a three for one split so you look at it you go to $45 down from $120 call it

  • smoothshoe OP 10baggerbamm : yeah, I have been trying to figure the decline out. they supply equipment for semiconductor production (my one sentence). Also, EPS has risen for the last 3 quarters. finally, good news in November:

  • 10baggerbamm smoothshoe OP : I've got so much concentration in chip stocks and I'm getting my butt handed to me right now and in Nvidia I have a long-term position that I'm very profitable in I have a short term I got put a lot of stock two weeks ago and then I've got a chip basket soxl that I keep having to sell calls against waiting for it to recover so to get into a smaller cap turn around I'd rather it be in a different industry a different sector I just have so much concentration.  I'll keep an eye on it I'll put it on my screen and I'll put alerts from a volume Spike but I think a lot of what's going on now till December is going to be tax loss selling and then the first week in January I think a lot of gains are going to come out of the market and we're going to dip I think people will lock in profits the first week or so next year calendar year and then we'll resume an upward trend so I've got to keep some powder dry for Jan.

  • smoothshoe OP 10baggerbamm : I promise I am not trying to sell you on it. I only opened a tiny position to see where it goes.

  • 10baggerbamm smoothshoe OP : no I get it believe me I know this is not like you're calling me up trying to sell me stock I respect your decision making you've been very very spot on and ahead of the curve in what you post what you're buying so you're one of the few people on this forum that I regard as their head screwed on right knows what they're doing is able to Target and find the right companies at the right time. in other words you're a very sharp guy when it comes to investing

  • TWIMO (151403908) : The last 2 days is what I fear about my confidence in technical analysis for break outs…. Time and time again I catch it at the wrong time and it goes down. The other times are entering too late and leaving profits on the table….. Is there a way to improve?

  • smoothshoe OP TWIMO (151403908) : DCA or dollar cost averaging over time. Buy a small position. If the price drops. don't chase it on the way down. Wait until it finds a support level and buy more shares. If the price suddenly spikes, don't chase it all the way up. If you catch the move early, ok to buy. If not, wait for the pullback or consolidation to a new support level. This strategy is for long positions. Remember, time in the market beats timing the market.

I have a corporate finance background with a good record of identifying undervalued stocks ready to break out.
