Caught 1 stock on the up trend is all it takes
Let me share my story. I started investing in stocks in 2024. I think I’m the first few who joined @Moomoo MY when it launched.. Joined immediately after they launched.
My earlier trading/stock selection was very conservative.. buying “boring stocks” like Maybank, RHB, CIMB.. then slowly diversify into REITS and Inari.
Early days in moomoo was good making decent profit then started to pay attention to USA stocks when Nvidia split and the whole GameStop rally with Kitty. That brought me to meme/penny stocks.
It is then I started losing money and getting trapped in stocks like $Greenwave Technology Solutions (GWAV.US)$ , $Pineapple Energy (PEGY.US)$ and a few others.. it is then I learnt about reverse splitting and yeah lost a lot of money in these meme stocks.. basically got trapped in some and sold some.. taking a huge lost (relative to my portfolio).
Then I turn back to more conventional stocks and started buying the Mag 7 stocks and started to recover some money but the recovery was slow.
My profile turn green again after 7-8 months of deep red with the help of $Arcadium Lithium (ALTM.US)$ which I bought at all time low which (sold when the news of a buyout by Rio) and also you guessed it, $Trump Media & Technology (DJT.US)$ ! Also with a few of my Bursa Malaysia stocks
October is also the month that moomoo support options trading and I bought a few call options for DJT.
Basically October I recovered from my loss and started to earn money. It was a treacherous and tedious journey!
If I can do it.. you guys can too!
Always do your own research and buy companies with potential (either real world or those with a strong uptrend like DJT) and don’t be too greedy..
Always invest with the money you can afford to lose and never take a loan for investment in stocks!
