$Apple(AAPL.US)$ (CercleFinance.com) - The Commission has decided to close its antitrust investigation into Apple's allegedly anticompetitive behavior
regarding some of the conditions it applies to certain application developers for the use of its App Store in the European Economic Area. This final decision today does not affect the other two antitrust investigations specifically regarding streaming music (AT.40437) and e-books/audiobooks (AT.40652).
EU clarifies that closing an investigation does not constitute a conclusion that the conduct in question is compliant to EU competition rules. The Commission will continue to monitor commercial practices in the European technology sector, including those of Apple, both within the framework of the DMA and the competition rules.
