Forcing a sale of Tiktok to a US based company or face ban of Tiktok… seems like China is starting its own mission to strike back at the US Stock market… phasing CPU made by US and moving out from MSFT or US based software… more will be to come and I am not surprised if EV is the next to get hit… its just a matter which side will start first… end up these innocent companies just take the hit…
Sweee : apple so far still have not faced china wrath, tim is offering baidu iPhone data thru its ai service, smart move to siam the wrath
Nick Galaxy : hehe! The brain is a good thing...
OceansWave OP Sweee : In the short term, I doubt China is able to move out of US chips.. for personal computing I believe it maybe possible to use the same type of SOC chips used for mobile devices… however, China still has a long way to go to catch up with the US tech industry for chips as they are limited by sanctions for the tools to create the chips…
102514703 : Please help add Intel and then ban it by Chinese government departments and agencies. You are already falsifying and misreporting. NVDA is currently not among them; currently CPUs are prohibited
Sweee OceansWave OP : yup agreed, tsmc and asml are the 2 pillars of advanced chips, no one is able to catch in the next 10 years
digimonX Sweee : They did ban iPhone for government use not too long ago. Source: China's ban on Apple's iPhone accelerates- Bloomberg News | Reuters
China & US take turns to ban each other's stuff.
OceansWave OP 102514703 : Added Intel.. keeping those mag 7 that have a business in China.. added TSLA in… any of these company can get hit… but do not get me wrong.. not here to spread fear… just sharing my views
OceansWave OP digimonX : It’s political warfare by both… sad to say investors like us get affected
102514703 : No problem, just don't post false information; it's hard to guess China's actions
digimonX OceansWave OP : Ya, no choice.
I m very interested in TSMC. However, the tension between China & Taiwan is of concern. I was hoping the blue camp would win the recent election (& was getting my cash ready to invest) but Taiwanese voted for the green camp...
