$Trex Co. (TREX.US)$ Today's price action reflects a sell signal, with increasing trading volume. Respecting this price action, even though the total profit is currently only a little over 7%, holding on at this point has lost its advantage. It's best to sell decisively and look ahead. 🚴🏻

  • MY Brandon : Why would you choose to increase your position the day before the performance date? Betting on performance?

  • sTone83 OP MY Brandon : This is a type of stop-loss limit order that I usually use. When the price exceeds a certain number, the system will trade within the price range I set. This type of transaction is commonly used to set before the performance is announced and before the key price breaks through.
This deal triggered my price when the price went up after the after-hours earnings report, and the system would help me close the deal.
I don't know if you can understand that 🙂

The following is an attached picture of when the transaction was automated 👇

  • sTone83 OP MY Brandon : Any transaction in the world is risky, and it is no different from the essence of gambling. The difference is whether you choose to bet when you have an advantage or when you have a disadvantage. How you choose determines the trend of your trading career.
For me, when using less than 5% of the risk to redeem a return that tends to be limitless, this is my advantage, because I myself am the one who sets the rules of this game (not following the rules of others or the casino), and this is also the golden key to maintaining account growth for a long time 🙂

  • MY Brandon : Understood, that is, after triggering the stop price after the market, use the limit price to place a pending order to buy. But is it possible that the stop price was triggered before the after-market results were announced, causing you to enter the market early before the results? Also, if the performance is better than expected, there is generally a direct gap increase. In this case, the chance of a stop-limit order transaction is unlikely 🤔

  • sTone83 OP MY Brandon : The stop-loss limit order time range covers pre-market, intraday, and post-market,
Therefore, the trading range in Gap is also fully covered. If you set the price range properly, there are basically no miss transactions. 🙂
This word also has the biggest effect. It can avoid slow manual speed, let the system complete the plan you designed in advance, and will naturally remind you after the transaction is completed ⏰

  • MY Brandon sTone83 OP : I know that the post-earning gap is one type of entry setup for many big traders. I usually use a market order to enter the market after the next day (when I see that the performance exceeds expectations, the stock price jumps high, and is accompanied by huge trading volume) or after the opening of the market for five minutes. This is the first time I've heard you enter the venue with a stop-limit method, so please let me know 🙏

  • MY Brandon sTone83 OP : I understand this. I'm just curious about the post-market trading time for a total of 4 hours, and the results will only be released in the 4th hour. How can you make sure that your orders are bought after the results rather than before the results? After all, the trading volume after the market (3 hours before the results are released) is very small, and your stop limit order may be triggered by random fluctuations.

  • sTone83 OP MY Brandon : There's nothing not to ask for advice. Traders know what circumstances to withdraw as a basis, don't worry too much about failure, be brave enough to try, learn from it, and look forward 🚴‍♂️
Personally, I'm not a high win rate trader (so far this year, my winning rate is only 41%, and my YTD account is profitable 32%), but I can learn valuable things from every trade, and I can always improve something little by little. Trading is a long-distance game 🙂

  • MY Brandon sTone83 OP : You can join Usic and win glory for our Southeast Asian traders 😄

  • sTone83 OP MY Brandon : I'm not sure. I don't think anyone in the world can decide. All I can do is set a price that fits my game rules, leave the rest to the market, and if it doesn't work, stay; if it doesn't work, get away. It's that simple, don't think too much.
The market I know has nothing to do with the word certainty; it's always just a probability, but I know that when the price rises, it has an advantage for traders who go long, and price behavior is my number one reference factor 🙂
