Commerce Ministry Responds to China's Electric Vehicle Subsidy Issue
Commerce Ministry spokesperson He Yiming stated that China and the EU are currently negotiating the electric vehicle anti-subsidy case, with facts and rules being the two main pillars.
Facts refer to objective facts recognized by both parties, not unilateral claims of so-called “facts.” The hope is that the EU will acknowledge that China's competitive edge in electric vehicles does not come from subsidies, recognize the mutual benefits of Sino-European automotive industry cooperation, and heed the European industry’s opposition to trade protectionism, making a reasonable and objective decision based on facts and rules.
