COMPARING (once more) TESLA vs BYD:
$Tesla (TSLA.US)$ I’ll TRY to explain it the EASY WAY:
BYD is a good company BUT to make an inferior TOTAL REVENUE than Tesla (and a fraction of its profits), they have to sell nearly the double cars (at half price) and employ about 650K workers in 20+ locations all over China.
Besides, they basically sell only in the Chinese market.
Tesla does much better with 5 factories and about 130K employees, which tells a LOT about overall efficiency (financial AND manufacturing).
THEN, consider that BYD doesn’t have a Supercharging structure, they don’t have a BOT anywhere close toTesla’s Optimus and they don’t have a self driving system anywhere near to Tesla’s FSD.

OH… BYD is not about to release the Robotaxi which will allow Tesla to own its own fleet, not needing to sell and suffer from the variability of the market and make GIANT peofits.

ZnWC : Biden imposed tariffs on Chinese EVs will not be the last. The article also revealed that BYD are trying to export to the US by using the UMSCA will also be blocked soon. It looks like BYD trying to compete with Tesla Mexico Gigafactory will not succeed. In a separate report, the Mexico government is also considering removing subsidy for Chinese manufacturers and BYD is one of them.
