Compounded Returns

$Maybank Retail Money Market-I Fund (MYU0100A2266.MF)$ Is the return for this fund compounded? I mean would we get the returns on top of the returns that we have received? Example: If you deposited RM500 and have earned RM1.00, your fund total would be RM501. Will your next returns be calculated based on RM501?

  • Moomoo Buddy : Hi! When you use a certain amount of money to subscribe for a fund, the NAV (price) of the fund on a certain day will be used to confirm the final units of the fund (quantity) you have subscribed for.
If you do not continue to subscribe/redeem, the unit of the fund you hold will not change, but the NAV (price) of the fund may change on each trading day.
The fund's return is calculated by the change of the fund's NAV, similar to how stocks return are calculated. There is no compound interest involve in this calculation.

I found my answer when I finally found and read the Fact Sheet. I would suggest you read it too as your answer did not align with the Fact Sheet. Tq
