Could somebody explain why VFV and VOO have different outcom...

Could somebody explain why VFV and VOO have different outcomes when they both track the S&P500?
Do they have different portfolio weights or track one economy more than another? VFV was + 0.17% today and VOO -0.21%. I know one is CAD and the other USD, but whats the difference? Thanks everyone! $VANGUARD S&P 500 INDEX ETF TR UNIT (VFV.CA)$ $Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO.US)$

  • Pei Ming 25 : If I am not mistaken, VOO is traded using USD while VFV is traded using CAD, so the performance of VFV is affected by the exchange rate between USD and CAD. If CAD depreciate against USD, you may see VFV outperform VOO and S&P 500 index.

U.S. stocks: Usually show the change from the previous day’s closing price to the current price, especially when viewing the data before or during the market’s open hours.
