Tether’s CTO Paolo Ardoino quickly responded, denying any signs of an investigation, and noted he had informed WSJ reporters of this earlier. 🤷
📝 On their website, Tether published a statement calling WSJ’s reporting “irresponsible,” accusing them of basing their claims on rumors from unnamed sources. Tether also pointed out that the article ignored their track record of collaboration with law enforcement and freezing criminal wallets.
