Curious about why FFIE is a hot topic online?
Our Market Strategist @Jessica Amir has broken down why $Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (FFIE.US)$ is a picking up pace online, with it's own popular subreddit and frequent mentions in the moo community.
FFIE doesn't seem to be breaking into mainstream Australian news, however it is still gaining traction worldwide.
If you're an Aussie who wants to get your head around FFIE's popularity, here are 5 things Jess thinks you need to know:
1. Production forecast withdrawal: Faraday initially projected that they would produce 1,000 vehicles in 2024. Despite withdrawing this forecast and creating uncertainty about their performance, this means future positive growth will be a huge turnaround.
2. Fundraising efforts: The company recently announced it is planning to raise $100 million, which could help them meet their production goals - raising a positive stir online.
3. Zero revenue in 2023: However, Faraday reported $0 of revenue AND a substantial loss of $428 million in 2023.
4. Current market conditions for EV Makers: Electric vehicles are a competitive market, requiring distinct selling points or advanced tech. While this is quite tough to overcome, Faraday has an opportunity to innovate and differentiate.
5. *Options Activity*: The significant volume of bullish options, especially the 35,896 contracts betting on the stock hitting $1 by June 21 and 1,546 contracts betting on it reaching $15 by January 2025, indicates substantial speculative interest.
