Cut losses by placing stop losses. Learn how to hedge with diversifying. Focus on growth and small caps. Implement sell in May, walk away strategy in 2024, not by selling but by sitting on my hands and building my dry powder reserves. If a downturn comes or if the price of holdings or my watchlist hit my price target, then I’ll deploy funds. My plan for next year is to not lose any money. I’m ending the year with a cummulative 45% gain on investments. I would have better returns, however, I played it safe and took profits on some positions that kept running. Have to work on letting winners run as much as I’ve worked on cutting losers.
