๐ Dancing with Mr Market! ๐
May 2024 is behind us and itโs been quite an exciting month for me! ๐ข The month is up 4.8% for S&P and my Moomoo portfolio ended May 4.96%. And my trading portfolio ended up 10.5% for May. Not too bad but i made a few mistakes that erased half the gains for the month and i am going to shared here so I can reflect on the lessons learnt and be better! ๐ช๐ป๐ช๐ป
Lessons learnt -
1. Never try to predict the markets next moves! Because most of the time we are wrong and never try to be too smart!
2. Always follow the your trading rules. That way you are more prepared for the loses and when you takes care of the downside, the upside will takes care of itslef! Suffered loses on my $Salesforce(CRM.US$ $Lululemon Athletica(LULU.US$ bets and used the wrong strategy. Never follow my own rules! ๐๐
3. Learn to take profits! Missed taking some profits off the table and ended up missing out totally. Too much greed! ![]()
Stay disciplined to take profit and cut loses quick for your trades or short term investments. For longer term play, dance with the market!
4. The best Win is your learning not your P/L. If you keep learning, you will become more consistent and a sustainable investor/trader over the long run! So the key is to learn from your wins and loses and be better wity each trade! Then you are on your way to become a great investor!
