what I'm looking at is you have a stock that's in a downward trend that broke its support that's a fact you have the first day of the New Year where you have portfolio rebalancing taking place that is a fact you have people that didn't sell last year because they made so much money they wanted to defer the gains till after the new year which means they will be selling rallies not buying dips and that is a fact.
so you're playing with fire when you're trying to day trade a stock that has headwinds in front of it short-term I'm not talking 6 months I'm talking two weeks
