$DBS (D05.SG)$ DBS or SG banks are for long term investment and by investing, it's for their dividends.
So any price can buy in. when the price drop, just buy in some to DCA downwards your avg buy-in price.
no point asking what's a good buy-in price or isit exp to buy now.
- up to individual buy-in price comfort preferences
- you do not kW if that person have Ultimate motive anot when anyone say buy in at this price.
- hold long term, sure have appreciation in share price and dividends.
my avg buy-in price is less than $29. some of you may have lower avg buy-in price and could have bought in much earlier. so be it for its own.

unfilteredtruths : If it is for dividends, the buy in price matters because your dividend yield is based off that. Simple.
You buy in 3 weeks ago your dividend yield was 6.5%, you buy in now it's about 6%.
1M65 OP : investors always have the mindset to buy low. when price drop, you hope that it will drop further.
but you ask yourself if you kp on waiting and price revert back up, you've missed the boat. so moral of the story, just DCA downwards with each sell down and don't wait and wait..hoping that it will trend downward more
unfilteredtruths 1M65 OP : DCA is only for investors who have high cash flow. What if they don't want to pour everything into DBS? What if they only want a few hundred shares? What if they aren't active investors who just want to put their money in without checking everyday?
1M65 OP unfilteredtruths : that's why I mention it's up to individual buy-in price comfort.. alot of time emotions will affect investors sentiment to buy-in or sell a stock.
if it's on a downward trend and the individual be becomes emotional and sell..then it's lost.
unfilteredtruths 1M65 OP : On this point I agree
1M65 OP unfilteredtruths : ya precisely must finish reading la. what's to oneself comfort buy-in price would defer from others. your suitable buy-in price to you maybe okie but to others perhaps it's quite high..so it's up to individual buy-in price comfort
so ex..if oneself have a budget to buy 2lots of dbs..the individual can choose to buy in all at one go or in 2 or 4 crunches. up to the individual.
1M65 OP : cause I find that there are just too many ignorant people out there just coming over to MooMoo and asking how much should buy/isit exp to buy now/what price should I buy.
it's macam you purchase shares like going to the supermarket.. individual self don't do their own homework and just jump in to buy thinking that it's "investment".. you see the point..
Bull riser 101552971 : Lol buy in @ $36.5? Grab that .54c dividend? And watch your money drop to $33? And have it stuck for who knows how long? .
unfilteredtruths 1M65 OP : that's a funny analogy you got there but i can't agree more
unfilteredtruths Bull riser 101552971 : Unless they DCA or willing to wait long term, they're definitely gonna feel a bit uneasy with that big drop for sure
