Dell X Nvidia X XAI

This is huge! Dell together with NVIDIA is building an AI Factory for Elon Musk's AI startup xAI

After raising $6 billion in a Series B funding round (one of the biggest funding rounds in history), xAI is now building a massive supercomputer, dubbed the "Gigafactory of Compute".

The supercomputer will leverage up to 100,000 NVIDIA H100 GPUs, which are known for their superior performance in LLM training & compute.

This will make xAI's facility 4X larger than the largest existing GPU clusters, such as those developed by Meta for their AI model development 🤯

The primary purpose is to enhance xAI's AI chatbot Grok - the challenger to OpenAI's ChatGPT & Anthropic's Claude - with the upcoming Grok 3 model expected to require immense computing power for training.

But that's not even it.

The planned xAI supercomputer could have a significant impact on X (formerly Twitter) and Elon's ambition to build the Everything App.

Data is key in LLMs, so it's all about utilizing X's data.

xAI will thus use Twitter data, including tweets, for training its AI systems and products. This valuable data set can be used for text, image, and video training to make Grok and other xAI offerings more capable and context-aware.

More importantly, it can also be leveraged for building better financial services that will be integrated at the core of X - think payments, remittances, investing, wealth management, etc.

And that could mark the birth of the largest financial institution in the world.
