$Direxion Daily NVDA Bull 2X Shares (NVDU.US)$ if anybody owns this leverage ETF you'll notice it earlier in the week the price ratchet it down they're doing a capital gains distribution it's not a dividend. it's payable on the 19th so on the 19th of this month is when you will receive in your account a cash distribution. unfortunately you don't have the ability to reinvest without taking the distribution. so the only way to put that money back to work is you have to go into the open market and buy it at the current price which could be higher or lower relative to when the record date is.
additionally your accounts right now don't reflect the true value of the position.
after the record date when you see the price of this ETF ratchet down and reprice that's what's being reflected in your brokerage account.
so it looks like money has evaporated it's gone and if you have a thousand shares you've lost $13,800 of value in your account because that's what the dividend is it's $13.8x per share.
in this example on the 19th you're going to get the $13,000 back into your account.
so if you own this and it looks like your account dropped significantly this week and you can't figure out why that's why

I am confused on why since we are getting the cash back to our account, it should appear in the gain of buying power and we can buy any other stocks with those cash right?
