not to piss on your parade but keep in mind president Trump made it abundantly clear America first. what has caused this basket to lag in the prior months was the potential for restriction of sales to any country that is viewed as an adversary of America and you can put china at the top of the list.
you can be 100% certain that there will be limitations, I think much more strict than what Biden did in the past year on certain key companies that have leading edge technology.
so we could rally potentially to inauguration day??? maybe??? but keep in the back of your mind that this basket is going to get hit hard when Trump starts commenting about technology must remain in America we're not going to let her adversaries win and we are going to impose limitations on sales to any country that we view as an enemy of the United States.

Penguin : the market has priced in the limitations Trump may enforce. however you‘ll never know what Trump will actually do after inauguration. to me the chips will not go worse anyway
10baggerbamm OP Penguin : the market hasn't priced anything in when you get named you're going to get crucified it's really that simple.
that's like saying if AMD misses their earnings and guides lower the stock's not going to go down despite being down over $100 from its peak.
the minute Trump talks about limitations and sales institutions will be shorting the piss out of every chip stock mentioned and the whole basket for that matter for fear that somebody else is going to be named that's part of the group that's just how it works.
Sweee : Market has short term memory, the mentioned risk is still intact, better prepare some hedging positions jus in case
