Are technical barriers and performance really important?

$NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ Oh, my husband can hardly contain his anger...He thought I was into AI, investing in AI stocks with me is always reliable... However, I went all in on NVIDIA and AMD, it seems like a reverse Indicator... In IT, most things are about faking it until you make it...
I can't comprehend the claim that ASIC can replace GPUs within two years, let's first find people to develop the ecosystem for software! Most of the AI infrastructure is built on top of Cuda, only recently did Meta release a non-Cuda dependent PyTorch, but this was only done because AMD hardware actually performs really well (believe me, it's really good, worth developing for). People at AMD are also working on non-Cuda versions of Jax and TensorFlow... From a professional perspective, AMD's ecosystem is starting to take shape, but AMD's stock has been consistently dropping (I don't understand...)
Hardware itself is not a technological barrier, Cuda is... AI is too fast-paced, when you're starting from scratch, others have already come up with many new things, so real AI professionals won't waste their time reinventing a "wheel of unknown value" (at least I won't, it would delay my research papers and model work, unless the new CNI Next-Generation Hardware Index speeds up by 50%, I'll remain faithful to NVIDIA's A100)
Ultimately, stocks and company technology & fundamentals are not really related, it's just about stocks... There are companies with good technology and performance, yet they are plummeting... Maybe it's because they know too well who has good technology and who is just a bubble, that's why they're losing money...
Honestly, I'm just training models.
