Dow hits fourth record high in a week; S&P 500 and Dow continue monthly gains

Wall street ended on a high note on Friday, with the Dow Jones notching in another record high after the personal consumption expenditure (PCE) inflation gauge came in within estimates. The S&P 500 gained 1.0% with all 11 sectors closing in the green. The Nasdaq-100 rose 1.3% while the Dow Jones climbed over 220 points. August marked a fourth straight month of gains for the S&P 500 and Dow Jones, while the Nasdaq-100 pared losses from July.
