Down for what?
$Alphabet-A (GOOGL.US)$ is down 0.7% in pre-market, and was down almost the same amount yesterday: I don't see any news that may justify that and both the volatility analysis and the options seem to indicate a bullish sentiment
It's just another power play?

Seraphicall : Precisely option leaning too much to bullish sentiment. In other words, too many calls.
JonSnow : Google eyes nuclear power to meet AI needs, CEO says
Google CEO Sundar Pichai told Nikkei Asia in an interview on Thursday that the company is exploring the possibility of using nuclear energy for its data center. If finally completed, the move would arrive at an important moment for the company, which needs to meet the growing energy demands of its artificial intelligence portfolio.
"We are now looking at additional investments, be it solar, and evaluating technologies like small modular nuclear reactors, etc.," Pichai said while commenting on Google's net-zero emissions target for 2030. In connection with that, the company totaled 48% greenhouse gas emissions in 2023, up from 2019 on a carbon dioxide-equivalent basis.
"It was a very ambitious target," Pichai stated, "and we are still going to be working very ambitiously towards it. Obviously, the trajectory of AI investments has added to the scale of the task needed."
