Elon Musk releases new AI chatbot ‘Grok’ in bid to take on ChatGPT
$Twitter (Delisted) (TWTR.US)$ Elon Musk's own artificial intelligence company, xAI, is launching its own large-scale language model, one of its key features being the ability to real-time scrape content from the X (Twitter) platform.
On Friday, Musk tweeted that xAI would release its first AI product, named Grok:
Details about Grok are still unclear, but Musk previously mentioned during a media interview in April this year that he would develop his own AI to challenge the existing large-scale models in the market.
Details about Grok are still unclear, but Musk previously mentioned during a media interview in April this year that he would develop his own AI to challenge the existing large-scale models in the market.
Subsequently, it was discovered that Musk founded an AI startup called "xAI," with employees from OpenAI, DeepMind, Google Research, Microsoft Research, Tesla, and the University of Toronto.
Musk has expressed objections to OpenAI's GPT multiple times, stating that its base model is highly biased and "woke." He has mentioned that xAI's overall goal is to build a benevolent general artificial intelligence, with the primary objective of understanding the universe: The safest way to build artificial intelligence is to create an AI that is extremely curious and seeks truth.
In September this year, Larry Ellison, co-founder of Oracle, revealed that xAI had signed a contract to train its AI models on Oracle's cloud platform.
