Elon Musk's xAI will build 'world's largest supercomputer' in Memphis
$Tesla(TSLA.US$ $BYD COMPANY(01211.HK$ $NIO Inc(NIO.US$ $XPeng(XPEV.US$ The greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce said Wednesday Elon Musk will build the world's largest supercomputer, dubbed the xAI 'Gigafactory of Compute,' in Memphis. In a video press conference posted on X, chamber president Ted Townsend said, "I am pleased to announce that xAI's Gigafactory of Compute, the world's largest supercomputer, is to be located in Memphis, Tennessee."
My take: This Gigafactory of Computing is the same concept proposed by EM about using Tesla EVs as distributed computers. In another article, EM proposes converting Tesla EV fleets into Cloud Computing Service like Amazon Web Service (AWS) to train its AI software. This is a powerful business concept and will be bring huge profitability to the company. It reminded me about Dave Lee's Four Technology Adoption S-Curve for Tesla.
