Ethereum Futures Trading Volume on CME Hits 9-Month Low
The trading volume of Ethereum futures on CME dropped to its lowest level in many months in August, reaching $20.8 billion, a 31% decrease from July’s $30.5 billion. This is the lowest trading volume since November 2023.
This week, CCData’s monthly report on exchanges highlighted a similar decline in Ethereum futures trading volume on CME. Analysts believe this drop reflects a lower-than-expected level of institutional interest in the asset.

On September 4, spot Ethereum ETFs in the U.S. recorded outflows of $37.5 million. The Grayscale Ethereum Trust (ETHE) was the only fund to report outflows on the day, with $40.63 million.
