EU Temporary Tariffs on Evs

On July 4th, the European Commission announced that starting July 5th, it will impose temporary countervailing duties on electric vehicles imported from China. China's Ministry of Commerce outlined the progress of consultations with the EU on the anti-subsidy investigation into Chinese electric vehicles.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce noted that there is a four-month window until the EU's final decision and expressed hope that the EU will work with China to demonstrate sincerity, expedite the consultation process, and reach an acceptable solution based on facts and rules.
