Eurozone industrial production falls unexpectedly in June

Eurozone industrial production in 2024/6 fell 0.1% from the previous month, lower than the 0.5% increase in market expectations, and was revised upward from the 0.9% decrease in May.

Production of non-durable consumer goods declined (2.5% compared to 1.7% decrease).

Meanwhile, intermediate goods (0.7% increase, 0.9% decrease), capital goods (0.9% increase, 2.6% decrease year on year), and durable consumer goods (3.8% increase, 2.9% decrease year on year) recovered.

Also, energy production (1.9% increase, 0.4% increase) also increased.

Compared to the same month last year, it was revised upward from a 3.3% decrease in May, and there was a 3.9% decrease in June.
